About Mridula
Mridula Anand has taught and performed Bharatnatyam for the last 25 years. As a senior student of Padmasree Sudharani Raghupathy, she has been active in creating an environment of engaging and expanding understanding of this classical art form both in India and abroad. She employs various pedagogies such as podcasts, curated programs and deep-dive conversations to explore the latest frontiers that intersect classical dance such as on the role of AI in Bharatanatyam and how the legalities can affect art productions. She is also a Faculty of Liberal Arts and highly acclaimed artist for two decades.

My understanding of specific needs help tailoring my classes to be uniquely individual. For women, I start with warm ups and stretches , move into cardio and end with stretches to ensure age appropriate learning. For younger students, I teach the basics patiently so that they develop an appreciation for the art.
