I am a dedicated professional musician, sound designer, and music teacher based in London. A recent achievement of mine was winning the prestigious 2022 BBC Radio 3’s ‘Sound First’ competition for emerging sound designers. I am passionate about pushing creative boundaries and making meaningful contributions to the world of music and sound. Hello, my name is Emily and I am an enthusiastic and supportive saxophone, clarinet and music theory tutor. Able to teach grades 1-8, both classical and jazz, with the aim to make each lesson fun and adapted to the individual.
Music graduate from the University of Manchester received 1st class in my final year saxophone performance module 2019.
I have a relaxed teaching style and can accommodate various levels of expertise and learning speed. I first ascertain what the student hopes to gain from lessons and structure lessons to best achieve those objectives. I have 7 years teaching experience and have taught in 15 schools across London.
