About Alice
I am a professional actor based in London (credits include BBC, CBBC, OPIA Collective and NYT). I have recently performed at the Southwark and Criterion theatres with the National Youth Theatre's REP company as part of their 2019 training programme. I have a degree in English Literature and experience directing fringe theatre, as well as LAMDA distinctions in grade 6-8 and years of refining and directing other actors' self tapes and audition pieces. I have a well rounded understanding of the industry and the craft, an interest in theory and practitioners, and experience as a tutor and workshop assistant at Playbox Theatre.

My teaching technique varies depending on the specifics of the sessions. An audition for a specific production requires a different approach to a self tape or preparation for a LAMDA exam or Drama School audition. For LAMDA I prefer to follow the structure through which I learnt - trying out a variety of pieces until we find the best fit, then using exercises to fully explore the piece. If my help is required with a self tape I'd prefer to begin from a place of instinct and naturalism before building on the actors' key instincts, and for audition prep for a specific production I' use my personal methods based on The Actor and the Text, Visualisation and improvisation work.
