Calum is very supportive, you feel absolutely comfortable asking him for help or advice at any time. The help doesn’t stop at the end of the lesson. He pays a lot of attention, perceives things very acutely and works his way around who you are and how you experience acting, gives you the freedom and confidence to explore. I must honestly say that I had lost a bit of the joy I used to have when I first started acting and was surprised when I started to feel it again working with him, to my greatest joy. If you don’t have fun in it, there is just no point in doing it. You have fun, you are pushed and supported. Most importantly, you trust yourself to go further and put the work in because you know you are believed in. He is, in my humble opinion, the best tutor you could ever have. Calum helped me immensely in my audition preparation process - he suggested some speeches to me and one of them just happened to be the perfect one, which I am so grateful for, because it's not easy at all to find something that both fits the type of actor you are but also resonates with you. He is extremely supportive and knows how to ask the right questions to help the process of "unlocking" the speech. Every time after working with him I felt like I was able to go deeper into the essence of the speech, but we also had a lot of fun in the process.
