Professional Actor & ArtsEd Graduate | Drama School Audition & Acting Coach | Self-Tapes, Monologues

I met Ivan during a session at the filmmaking society of our university, and since then we have had a fantastic friendship. I have watched him perform in several plays and have always been impressed with his performances. After shows I would talk to him about the technical nature of being an actor and he has always provided me with great insight. When we would act with each other (during amateur short film productions), he would give me advice on how to improve my performance - all of which was much appreciated as it was difficult to match his skill otherwise. Overall, Ivan is a fantastic teacher and great friend who is very patient, understanding, and attentive.

I've known Ivan for coming up to 8 years now. He's an expert at his craft, being a professional actor in multiple projects. His understanding of the art of acting has shone through in all of the roles that he has been a part of during my time working with him. Our collaborative work together proves that he has the skills to teach his skills to the next generation.

I had the pleasure of working with Ivan on the MA Acting programme at ArtsEd. As 2026 graduates, we actively worked on developing our craft through hands-on training in Stanislavski, Meisner, Hagen, Viewpoints, Voice and Movement, Screen Acting and Shakespeare. Ivan proved to be an exceptional scene partner during Clowning, Improvisation and Stage Combat, which ultimately bore testimony to his devotion and hard work as he was cast in three main roles in our final show of “Great Expectations” including Compeyson and Mr Wemmick. Ivan brings a sense of vulnerability, originality and honesty to his work that is not so often seen in many trainee actors, and shows willingness to work in a team, learn together and propel each other forward. He was extremely proactive when it came to the preparation of characters and the background work that went into breaking down language and understanding subtext. He was particularly good with his knowledge of Chekhov and how he guided me through understanding my character.

I absolutely loved working with Ivan. He is such a kind, supportive and encouraging teacher, and made me feel comfortable and confident from the beginning. His feedback is always thoughtful and constructive, and he has a really lovely way of helping you explore a scene without making you feel judged or self-conscious. I learnt a lot from working with him and would genuinely recommend him to anyone looking for an acting teacher.
