step 1. understand the student learning style so to use engaging teaching materials.
step2. Understand students learning gap and objectives for each topic within each session.
step 3. focus on problem solving metrics, use of 5 E model to get through a concept/topic.
step 4. Practice and evaluation are essential for mastery. Therefore, 30min to an hour of practice and raise to boost confidence and mastery of concept taught.
A lesson can range from 30 min to an hour with the inclusion of practice questions especially if the tutoring is geared towards exams.
I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics (double major), taught for 5 consecutive years and conduct tutoring, workshops, extra class, summer school and math quiz competitions.
