Here’s how I would structure a class and bring special features into teaching:
1. Usual Structure of a Class
- **Introduction & Objectives** (5–10 mins): I’d start by introducing the topic with some context and clearly state the objectives, so students know what to expect and why it’s important.
- **Core Lesson & Concepts** (20–30 mins): This part is the main content where I’d explain the topic using clear examples, visuals, and occasionally hands-on activities or experiments for engaging, active learning.
- **Interactive Q&A** (10 mins): Midway or right after the main concepts, I’d encourage questions, discussions, and address any confusion to reinforce understanding.
- **Practice or Application** (15–20 mins): Whether through problem-solving, group work, or individual tasks, I’d guide students in applying what they’ve learned to cement knowledge.
- **Wrap-Up & Recap** (5–10 mins): Finally, a summary of the key points would conclude the class, and I’d address any final questions, provide resources, or suggest additional practice for students who want to explore further.
