About David
I am Violin Solo at Berner Sinfonieorchester, student of Ana Chumachenco and Maxim Vengerov. I studied in Italy, Germany and Switzerland, I come from a family of Soviet violinists, and having benefited from an international educational background as well as a wide experience of soloist, I could introduit you to the violin not only as an instrument, but also as an opening to the varied and infinite world of music.

Of course, everything depends on the age and / or personal interests of the student. From 5 to 11 years, I introduce the learner to the methodological bases using the practice of basic exercises, which include known works of classical music, arranged for a basic level. Indeed, it seems to me that too much theory will likely bother the child, so I always keep in mind the playful aspect of learning. For an older student (11 to 16 years), it is important in my opinion to see if, first, he or she has already been introduced to the violin, in order to be able to adapt to the basics learned, and secondly, to ensure that the interest in the instrument is as much the will of the pupil as of the parents. Finally, for adults, I propose not only to learn how to play the violin, but also to discover together the world of music through recordings, concert visits, discussions on the life of music in general, perhaps the historical aspect of the instrument.
