About Katherine
Hi everyone!
I am an experienced English as a second language tutor with four years teaching experience. I studied BA Modern Languages and MA Hispanic Studies at the University of Sheffield and have lived and worked abroad as an English as a second language assistant and teacher in the Netherlands and Quebec, Canada. I am CELTA qualified as of May 2024. I am a native English speaker (UK) and I thoroughly enjoy teaching English as a second language. I have a passion for languages and am a language learner myself (currently learning German and Portuguese!) and wish to share the joy of language learning with others.

I cater to my students' needs.
My English classes focus on developing fluency in English so get ready to talk a lot! We will naturally build up your vocabulary, grammar, speaking fluency and listening skills through guided conversations. We can discuss any topic and you can choose!
Lessons are typically 1 hour but shorter lessons available on request. Just ask :)
I have 4 years experience as a tutor of English as a second language having worked in the UK, the Netherlands and Quebec, Canada as a techer of English as a second language.
