About Sophia
I took private piano lessons myself for around thirteen years and took the theory courses necessary to obtain my level 10 RCM certificate. In 2016 I decided to start teaching students, at the time associated and located within L'Escale French Daycare. Now I am looking for students who are able to travel to my home located in the Glenmore region of Kelowna. I have a lot of experience teaching complete beginner students so feel free to try out a lesson even if you don't know anything!

My classes are very student focused and we move as fast as the student wishes to go. For beginner students, I usually start off with learning how to read along with the parts of the piano. Then, we move onto some sort of basic technique and learning some easy songs. Generally I use the Leila Fletcher piano course 1 and 2 and then move onto songs from the Royal Conservatory of Music. However, if the student wants to learn a different song, they are more than welcome to suggest it so we can work towards it.
