About Shimon
Hi, I’m Shimon “Shim” Moore — a platinum-selling singer, guitarist and songwriter, and the original frontman of Sick Puppies.
I bring more than 25 years of professional music experience, from writing and recording songs to touring internationally. Singing, playing guitar and connecting with an audience have been at the center of my career.
Alongside performing, I run Shim’s Rockstar Academy, where I coach singers, songwriters and developing performers. I previously worked as a performance and songwriting coach through Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy.
I love helping people discover what they’re capable of musically. Whether you’re learning your first chords, finding confidence in your voice or preparing to perform, I’ll meet you at your level and build from there.
My approach is friendly, practical and encouraging. You can expect clear demonstrations, honest feedback and songs you actually enjoy working on. We can also bring guitar and singing together, helping you feel comfortable doing both at once.
I’m based in Roseville on Sydney’s North Shore, with lessons available in person and online.

I’m Shim Moore, a guitarist, singer and coach based in Roseville on Sydney’s North Shore. I’m the original frontman, guitarist and songwriter of Sick Puppies, with more than 25 years in professional music, and I run Shim’s Rockstar Academy.
I offer private guitar and singing lessons built around the music you want to make. Guitar sessions can cover chords, strumming, rhythm, riffs and learning complete songs. Singing sessions focus on phrasing, expression, confidence and bringing a song to life. We can also work on singing while playing guitar, songwriting and preparing to perform.
Beginners, returning players and developing performers are welcome. Expect clear explanations, useful feedback and a manageable practice plan. Lessons are available in Roseville and online.
