About Keira
Too much experience to list here! 20+ years of teaching from Generalist Primary School Grades Prep through 6 and limited secondary experience, Special Needs Middle School outdoor education program, University outdoor education program, swim teaching, respite care and the list goes on! On top of all of my education related knowledge and skills I spent a few years in retail and hospitality and tourism! I'm well traveled (from slums through to royalty) having lived and worked internationally and not only accepting of all cultures but extremely interested in cultures other than my own!

Learning is a life long journey not something with a final destination. Energetic Primary Trained Teacher with an extremely varied background including 20+ years of classroom experience. Everybody has the ability to learn, it's about teaching in a way that resonates with the student. Meeting the student where they're at and engaging them in the learning journey. Nurturing the love of learning is just as important as the academics. I teach from a student centered space and celebrate even the small victories and 'ah ha' moments. Using hands on, manipulative and real life scenarios to generate the greatest results which results in not only longer retention of learning but also authentic learning.
