About Scott
Originally, my degree was in Dance and Musical Theatre. After 9 years of dancing on many cruise ships all over the world, my wife wanted to settle down. This is when one chapter of my life closed and a new chapter began. With a desire to inspire, and wanting to support children through their learning journey, I enrolled with Leeds Uni and achieved my QTS in 2015. I have been a class teacher for eight years before becoming a department lead in UKS2. Not only was I teaching in a classroom, but I also had the privilege of leading a team of eight staff members as well as training student teachers of different abilities. This leadership role has only strengthened my position in the profession of teaching and I can't wait for the opportunity to help more children reach their potential.

When tutoring Maths, I like to use digital platforms to help support the learning. This requires patience from each pupil until they get used to the platforms, but the wait is so worthwhile when they can use the platforms independently.

Perfect! My children have just completed their third maths lesson with Scott, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He explains everything thoroughly and makes sure they fully understand each topic before moving on. He identifies each child’s individual strengths and areas for improvement, then adapts his teaching style with fun and engaging methods that suit their unique way of learning.
