The first lesson we will have will mainly be talking to you about where you are in the subject, what your strengths and weaknesses are and any questions or concerns that you may have. From there I will ask a few questions about you and how you prefer to learn, whether that's images, movement, games, construction etc. Before the next session I will construct a full lesson plan on how we can achieve your goal, whether that is a pass or an A. Generally the structure of a lesson will be that at the beginning we'll catch up and see how you've been getting on since I last saw you. My teaching approach during the main part of the lesson will vary widely depending on how you best retain and understand information, however it will most likely involve using images or objects and walking you through the process step-by-step if it is maths, or in geography, we would more likely be using diagrams and explanations but again this is subject to change. I aim for a positive and encouraging learning environment that works at your pace!
