About Jiya
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a genuine passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability. Alongside my academic studies, I have gained experience working with younger students, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly.
As someone who enjoys mathematics and problem-solving, I find it rewarding to support students in overcoming challenges and developing a more positive mindset towards learning. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

I offer structured, supportive maths tutoring tailored to each student's needs and learning style. My approach focuses on building strong foundations, boosting confidence, and developing problem-solving skills through clear explanations and guided practice. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and include a mix of teaching, worked examples, and independent questions to reinforce understanding. I have experience tutoring students from Key Stage 1 and 2 through to 11+ preparation, as well as GCSE maths. I achieved an 8 in both GCSE Maths and Further Maths, and an A at A level, giving me a strong academic foundation to support students at different levels. I am patient, reliable, and passionate about helping students enjoy maths and reach their full potential. My lessons are suitable for primary students, 11+ candidates, and GCSE learners looking to improve their skills and confidence.
