About Cora
I am an enthusiastic flute tutor with 18+ years of teaching experience, having worked with around 150 students successfully. I teach students of all levels and focus on helping them develop both technical skills and confidence. My teaching approach is student-centred, based on communication, creativity, and adaptability.
I customise lessons according to each student’s ability and goals, ensuring steady improvement. I focus on essential techniques such as breath control, tone clarity, and finger coordination. I make my classes interactive and enjoyable by including exercises, songs, and creative learning methods.
I am patient and supportive, helping students overcome challenges with simple explanations. I also teach basic music theory to strengthen their understanding. My goal is to make flute learning effective, engaging, and rewarding.

I follow a student-centred teaching methodology for flute that focuses on adaptation, flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. Every student has a unique way of learning, so I customise my teaching methods to suit their individual needs and abilities.
I start by building strong fundamentals such as correct posture, breathing techniques, tone production, and finger placement. These are essential for mastering the flute. Based on the student’s progress, I gradually introduce scales, exercises, and songs.
Flexibility is an important part of my teaching. I adjust lesson plans depending on how quickly or comfortably a student learns. This ensures that no student feels rushed or left behind.
I believe in collaborative learning, where students are encouraged to share their ideas, ask questions, and actively participate in lessons. This approach helps in developing creativity and confidence.
A positive environment is key to effective learning. I motivate students through encouragement and constructive feedback, helping them overcome challenges without pressure.
In addition to flute, I also teach related subjects such as music theory, rhythm, and ear training. This helps students understand music better and become well-rounded musicians.
