About Heidi
Hi! I am Heidi and I am a dedicated pre-service teacher currently at Monash University. With over seven years of tutoring experience, I specialise in working with students from preschool through to Year 10, with a strong focus on mathematics.
My teaching philosophy focuses on fostering a supportive, student-centred environment where each learner feels confident and motivated to reach their full potential. I believe in the importance of understanding my students beyond their academics to better support their individual goals and learning journeys.

My lessons are typically 60 minutes long, providing ample time for thorough explanation, guided practice, and independent work. This structure ensures students can fully understand new concepts and apply their learning with confidence.
With over seven years of tutoring experience, I have worked with students from preschool through to Year 12, in both volunteer and paid roles. My experience ranges from foundational early childhood education to advanced high school content. I also achieved a High Distinction in Business Statistics at university, further demonstrating my strength in mathematics. Additionally, my training as a pre-service teacher has enhanced my understanding of various learning styles and effective teaching strategies.
I specialize in teaching mathematics to students from preschool to Year 10, helping them build confidence and improve their academic performance.
