About Elize
I'm a postgraduate alumni at the Royal College of Music and have been studying theory since the year 2000. My last education was in Latvia and it was a Russian based model of theory teaching that's more thorough. I've familiarized myself with a variety of different methods and feel I'm capable of helping anyone.

I think theory often feels dry when there isn't a clear use for it (especially for beginners) so I try to showcase the uses of different elements in practise - even through a recording if there's no piano in sight. Besides that, I believe everyone to be an individual and to be approached as such. In my opinion, the teacher has to be flexible enough to find the right approach.

Elize is a fabulous teacher. She is very attentive and my five year old son always looks forward to his weekly cello lessons. She's very helpful in answering my questions and shows me what he needs to work on. Highly recommend!
