About Mehrdad
I am a Polymer Engineer, Postdoctoral Researcher, and international researcher with more than 20 years of experience in polymer science, engineering, and industrial innovation. I hold a postdoctoral research position at Ghent University and have extensive expertise across polymerization, polymer processing, polymer characterization, plastics and tire recycling, and chemical recycling technologies. I have authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and am the inventor of two international patents in the field of polymer engineering and recycling technologies. My work bridges academia and industry, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and practical problem-solving in advanced polymer materials and circular plastics technologies.

I am a Polymer Engineer and Postdoctoral Researcher with more than 20 years of academic and industrial experience in polymer science and engineering. My expertise covers a broad range of polymer-related fields, including polymerization, polymer processing, polymer characterization, plastics and rubber recycling, tire recycling, and chemical recycling technologies such as pyrolysis. I have extensive experience working with both research institutions and industry, and I enjoy teaching students and professionals at different levels. I offer practical and science-based guidance in polymer engineering, combining strong theoretical knowledge with hands-on industrial experience to support learning, research, and problem-solving.
