About Thomas
I am the seventh child in a large close-knit caring family. I am an honest, thoughtful, trustworthy, reliable, hard-working, determined individual with the ability to work on my own and as a team player. These qualities are highlighted by my achievement of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, the Platinum Chief Scouts Award and the self-completion of my extra GCSE in Music. I am dedicated, organised and have excellent time management skills, which is demonstrated by balancing schoolwork, volunteering and my many hobbies and interests. My job at McDonalds involves working under pressure and to deadlines. Despite many colleagues being older and more experienced than me I was recently promoted to Crew Trainer, because I am reliable, supportive and have good communication skills. This position has given me a greater and practical understanding of organising a team, monitoring employee performance and ensuring food safety rules are followed. I have developed good listening skills and an understanding of the importance of health and safety at work. These have been developed by having to closely follow instructions in my volunteer role as Assistant Chef at Sunley Court Elderly Care Home. I can communicate effectively with people of all ages and abilities. This is demonstrated through my work with the elderly residents, the staff and also the younger children at Scouts both in the weekly meetings, events and camps. I consider myself to be a well-presented individual who is punctual and thoughtful whilst being self-motivated and constantly striving to improve my best.

Little and Often always works best and is the best thing for retaining information! Typical lesson is about 30-45 minutes. I have an A+ in Politics and History A-Level and A in Maths, however only teach Maths at GCSE. I have already successfully tutored 4 people for Maths helping them achieve 7 and over at A-Level.
