About Aaliah
Hello! My name is Aaliah, and I am a Political Science graduate and current law student with a strong passion for education and helping others achieve their goals. I offer friendly, structured, and personalised English lessons for learners aged 10 and above, including students preparing for GCSEs and individuals learning English as an additional language.
Having achieved an A* and Grade 8 in GCSE English, I have a strong academic foundation in English and reading proficiency. My university studies have also strengthened my communication, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, which I bring to my teaching.
I understand that every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's ability, learning style, and personal goals. Whether you want to improve your reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, or spoken English, I aim to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and productive.
I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and encouraging. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, overcoming challenges, and celebrating their progress.
Whether you are working towards a higher GCSE grade, developing your English language skills, or building confidence in everyday communication, I am here to support you throughout your learning journey. I look forward to helping you develop your skills and reach your full potential!

My tutoring approach is centred on building confidence, developing strong foundational skills, and helping every student reach their full potential. As a Political Science graduate and current law student, I understand the importance of clear communication, critical thinking, and adapting learning techniques to suit individual needs.
Teaching Methodology
I tailor each lesson to the student's age, ability, and learning goals. My approach combines clear explanations, interactive activities, guided practice, and regular feedback to ensure students understand each topic before moving on. For English lessons, I focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary development, grammar, spelling, writing skills, and reading fluency. I also encourage students to think independently, ask questions, and develop confidence in their abilities.
Typical Lesson Length
Lessons typically last 45 minutes, allowing sufficient time to introduce new concepts, practise key skills, review progress, and address any areas of difficulty. Lessons can be adapted to suit the student's attention span and individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience
As a Political Science graduate and current law student, I bring strong analytical, literacy, and communication skills to my teaching. I achieved an A* and a Grade 8 in English at GCSE level and have a strong foundation in reading proficiency. I aim to use my academic experience to make learning engaging, structured, and accessible.
Who Are the Lessons For?
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students who want to improve their English and reading skills, strengthen their literacy foundations, or prepare for GCSE examinations. They also cater to non-natives who would like to learn or improve their skills in the English Language. Whether a student needs extra support, wants to improve their reading fluency, or aims to achieve higher grades, I provide patient, encouraging, and personalised guidance.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions, making progress, and celebrating their achievements.
