About Rhea
My piano lessons combine traditional technique with modern digital tools to make learning engaging and interactive. I incorporate virtual pianos, DAW software, notation apps, backing tracks, and slow-down practice tools to help students explore music in a hands-on, creative way. We cover topics like layering harmonies, beat matching, pitch accuracy, and beginner-friendly music production, giving students both technical skills and a sense of artistic freedom. Slow-down tools and interactive backing tracks make mastering tricky passages easier and more enjoyable. For learners who thrive with structure, I design clear lesson paths and digital progress checkpoints. Creative students are encouraged to experiment with loops, chord-building, and composing short pieces, turning practice into exploration. Audio-visual support is integrated throughout, with screen-sharing, visual notation, and interactive demos to reinforce understanding. Students discover how to shape sound, rhythm, and emotion, using technology as a bridge between imagination and performance. Lessons emphasise both precision and expressive freedom, allowing music to reflect personality and mood.

With six years of teaching and a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA), I guide students into a world where music speaks like poetry. Each lesson is an invitation to explore the piano as more than keys and notes—it becomes a vessel for stories, imagery, and emotion. I weave literature, visual imagery, and narrative into repertoire, encouraging students to discover phrasing, dynamics, and symbolism that bring music to life. Together, we explore mood and character, learning how every note can whisper, sing, or storm with intention. My approach nurtures sensitive souls and creative minds, allowing them to express inner landscapes through sound. Technique and interpretation grow hand in hand, as we shape performances that resonate with personal meaning. Repertoire transforms into a canvas, where melody, harmony, and rhythm paint vivid scenes. Students learn to listen deeply, imagine vividly, and perform authentically. I balance structure with freedom, guiding learners while leaving space for exploration and self-expression.
