Hi, I’m a piano tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano. I specialize in creating personalized lessons tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. My focus areas include chord theory, ear training, improvisation, and performance skills, helping students build both confidence and technique. I have experience teaching a variety of styles, from classical and jazz to contemporary genres. My lessons are supportive, engaging, and designed to make learning enjoyable while challenging students to grow. I work with learners of all levels—from beginners just starting out to advanced players aiming for mastery. I encourage creativity and expression, helping students explore their own musical voice while strengthening their foundational skills. My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop both technical skills and a deep love for piano. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, whether it’s exam preparation, performance, or creative exploration. Lessons are structured to build strong fundamentals in piano technique, sight-reading, and music theory.
I guide students through classical, jazz, and popular styles, helping them master rhythm, expression, and improvisation. I also provide guidance for exams like ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Levels, ensuring students feel confident and prepared. Lessons include music history and context to help students connect with pieces on a deeper level.
Creativity is a key part of my methodology. I encourage students to compose, improvise, and explore their own musical ideas. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, strengths, and interests, ensuring they are both challenged and supported.
I help students refine their skills while nurturing their personal style and musical voice. By combining structured practice, performance preparation, and creative exercises, students develop confidence and a well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for piano while achieving tangible progress.
