About Daisy
- What kind of experience do you have? I have five years' experience teaching both children and adults ranging from complete beginners up to Grade 8 standard. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes. - Tell me about some of your current students. At the moment I have around 25 students. Many of my students work towards ABRSM graded exams. In the recent summer term every student who entered achieved merits and distinctions! Other students play purely for enjoyment, popular pieces I have worked on with them include Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata' and 'Fur Elise', 'The Entertainer' and 'Maple Leaf Rag' by Scott Joplin, 'Theme from Swan Lake' by Tchaikovsky and many more. I recently held a concert involving many of my students who came along and played a piece they had been working on. It was great for everyone to see what others have been playing and despite a few nerves everyone really enjoyed the experience of playing in front of other people. I think it really motivated many of my students both in seeing the wide range of music that is achievable to play and to really improve for next year's concert!

I am extremely enthusiastic about the piano and am friendly and very patient; adapting my lessons to what you want - be it preparation for graded exams or purely for enjoyment. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach the Piano and can teach Music Theory up to Grade 5. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a BA Music degree from the University of Leeds and a Distinction at Grade 8 Piano. - How much do you charge? I charge £48 per hour, £38 for 45 minutes or £28 for a half hour lesson. - Where do you teach? The majority of the time I teach from my house in Hove, I can travel to students nearby in the Brighton and Hove area if it fits my schedule so do contact me to find out if you are looking for a teacher to come to you. - When are you available? I teach throughout the week and weekend. - Which ages and levels do you teach? I teach both children and adults from complete beginner up to grade 8 standard. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall examinations - Grades 1-8.

Daisy is a very kind and patient teacher who interacts well with the children. The children enjoy their lessons with her and have made good progress. Daisy is very passionate about her teaching and motivateds the children to do well. We are happy with the help and support we recieve from Daisy and greatly appreciate her efforts.
