About Joshua
Hi!
I'm Joshua, a music (BMus) student at Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta. I have been playing the piano for over 15 years, and have participated in the Kiwanis and other music festivals. Additionally, I taught online with non-profit organizations during the summer of 2020, and assist with the management/instruction of a student band. My goal is help establish piano fundamentals while nurturing a love for music!

Teaching methodology
Online:
-1 on 1 zoom calls (preferably with a parent nearby if a child is taking lessons)
-RCM syllabus (or an approved alternative provided by student)
30 minute lessons
Any combination of the following:
-Run through/enhance understanding of repertoire
-Develop or introduce rudimentary techniques (scales, arpeggios)
-Introduce, and/or establish understanding of rudimentary theory (how to read music, how to understand note values)
-Preparatory RCM- Level 6 (or equivalent)
