About Sadie
I hold a Master’s in Piano Performance and Music Education and have 9 years of experience teaching students from beginners to advanced performers. My teaching philosophy combines structured technical training with creative exploration, allowing students to build a strong foundation while expressing themselves freely through music. I emphasize patience, clarity, and individualized guidance, adapting each lesson to the student’s goals, abilities, and musical interests.
In my lessons, I integrate finger independence exercises, sight-reading practice, repertoire study, improvisation, and ensemble collaboration to develop well-rounded pianists. I focus on balancing technical proficiency with musical expression, helping students grow in confidence and ability. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and reflective learning, allowing each student to discover their own musical voice while gaining mastery of the instrument.
Outside teaching, I perform, study varied repertoire, and explore contemporary music pedagogy to bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Advanced learners explore advanced repertoire, interpretive nuance, improvisation, and ensemble collaboration. I provide detailed guidance, feedback, and reinforcement exercises tailored to each learner, ensuring continuous growth and confidence in their playing.
Beyond technical skill, piano lessons nurture creativity, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for music.
