About Keira
Piano lessons are NOT one size fits all! Music is magic and it has been taught in very dry ways. I am here to change the narrative. With 12 years of teaching private lessons under my belt, I have taught students of all ages, levels and backgrounds.
This resulted in creating my own curriculum called Piano for the Singer Songwriter Producer, which caters to recording artists, singers, songwriters and music producers looking to learn piano for the purposes of creating in the studio and expressing themselves in a professional environment.
If you are seeking to build a career in artistry, songwriting or music production, I'm here to help you get to the next level.
Piano is the gateway to ALL musical possibilities and with the advancement of technology, this way of learning needs to be more easily accessible to those looking to work in the music industry.
As an award winning Piano Teacher and Educational Partner with Steinway and Sons, Beverly Hills , I have demonstrated a very rare ability to FUSE the worlds of classical and modern music as well as digital and analog.

Classically trained since age 4, Keira realized the huge void in music education - only approaching it from an academic standpoint instead of building the ear training, heart connection, fundamentals in theory and confidence needed to improvise and truly be FREE at the piano.
The Modern Pianista way focuses on building improvisational skills within the framework of music theory using your scales and chords from The Circle of Fifths (your Sound Palette) from day one.
The Modern Pianista way emphasizes ear training and playing by ear, while understanding the fundamentals of chord theory, melody, harmony, rhythm and grooves.
The Modern Pianista way fuses color theory and all things creative to build a deeper understanding and more satisfying and fulfilling experience of music.
This approach is best for students who want to learn modern singer songwriter styles of music, learn how to produce their own music on a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) or for formerly trained classical pianists that feel lost without sheet music or a book and would like to take out the middle man to feel FREE playing what they hear or feel at the piano.
