About Alex
I'm an experienced pianist and sound engineer having worked in recording studios for nearly 15 years - in fact since I was a young teenager.
I have since made sound my career and I'm looking to share that experience with others.
I have excellent knowledge not just of music theory, but of the entire physics of sound, ensuring that students understand not just the fundamentals of music, but also of why theory rules exist in the first place.

My teaching methods are based on learning through experience - focusing on learning songs and pieces through demonstration, practice and chord theory rather than simply scales and exercises.
Having worked as a consultant for numerous recording studios, I have spent time tutoring all levels of people in all kinds of audio related disciplines - from using mixing desks to utilising instruments.
Lessons are thirty minutes to one hour long.
