About Ying Yan
I am a First-Class Physics graduate from Imperial College London and currently pursuing a Master’s in Medical Physics. I achieved 11A+ in SPM (one of the top results in Malaysia) and 4A* in A-Levels (Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Biology). With over three years of tutoring experience, I have taught GCSE, IB, AP, and A-Level Mathematics, helping students improve their grades and build strong conceptual understanding alongside effective exam techniques. Many of my students have gone on to achieve excellent results and gain admission to top universities such as Harvard and the University of Hong Kong. I have been teaching IGCSE/GCSE, IB, and A-Level Mathematics/Additional Mathematics through online platforms for over three years. I have received consistently positive feedback from my students. In addition, I was a student ambassador, where I supported younger students with their homework, explained difficult concepts, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Typically, each lesson lasts 1–2 hours. I support students by analysing past exam questions, highlighting common mistakes, and sharing effective study strategies. Lessons are conducted online via platforms such as Google Meet.
