About Rebecca
I have a PhD from the University of Alabama. My research was in observational astronomy, and I was an NSF fellow in Paris, France for two years. After completing my postdoc, I taught at LSU and finally at Coastal Carolina University in SC. At CCU I learned how to teach physics in a way that allows the student to learn in real time with the teacher present. In 2021, I moved to Virginia and retired from teaching full time; however, I still love helping students grasp physics concepts.

I teach conceptual based Physics and Astronomy through tutorials and questions to address common misconceptions. These lessons are appropriate for University students as well as High School students in AP classes. A typical session will include a brief tutorial on the topic followed by a discussion, demo problem solving, and Q&A.
