About Magali
Self-taught photographer born and residing in the city of Bahía Blanca, Argentina. I have been in photography since I was fourteen. My art varies between conceptual photography, self-portraits, macro and animal photography. My work is also heavily impacted by mental health. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and in addition to transmitting information about this through my photographs, it is since 2017 that I give talks in various institutions on the subject, in order to raise awareness and question existing stigmas. My most relevant projects are the “365”, which consisted of taking one photograph per day for a whole year. I have carried out four projects like this, two completed (in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019). My current project is "Contame Algo" ("passport photos" with stories). I have participated in several group shows and made individual shows. I am mainly dedicated to teaching initial photography classes, in addition to covering events and taking photo sessions. I am currently pursuing a degree in Educational Sciences at the National University of the South.

My classes are photography, personalized, adapted to the interests and equipment of each student. In the classes we will work in a theoretical-practical way, for which I will explain the concepts behind how to handle a camera or achieve good photographs and guide the process so that the student can take photographs during the class wherever he is. The student will also learn about image composition and about some photographic genre of interest (portrait, artistic photography, landscapes, animals, macro, etc.). My specialty is to teach initial photography, so my classes are ideal for people who They have just bought a camera or are interested in getting one. If you do not have equipment but you plan to buy I recommend that you take the class to be able to advise you on which camera will be the best for you based on your interests. It is important not to buy equipment without knowing fairly well what you like. I also teach digital developing with Lightroom and image editing in Photoshop.
