About Claire
I am a student having recently graduated from the university of SOAS, previously known as the School of Oriental and African studies. I am half french and english- having been a welfare contact and president of the mental health society at SOAS for a year, I am well aware of the concerns of modern student life. I have a complex and deep understanding of history, art, philosophy and literature. I am passionate about music, drawing and learning from others just as I am for teaching them.

I am the ideal tutor if you would like someone who has an original, interdisciplinary perspective and if you would like to be encouraged to think outside the box- especially if you want to improve your critical thinking skills and ability to think independently. I endorse holistic learning skills and this is why I believe it is essential to teach "real-life" skills (such as ways to cope with stress or getting prepared for a-level/ university) to students in parallel to what they are expected to learn. I am hugely focused on discussion based and kinesthetic learning activities but I am flexible to the students needs and if warned in advance I am willing to prepare my lessons to the specific needs of the said individual.

Claire is a wonderful tutor! She is kind and patient with me, and always makes me feel comfortable despite my nervous disposition. Since tutoring with Claire my pass paper grades have improved and I am gaining more confidence everyday. Thankyou Claire!
Honestly my som has improved so much since having virtual lectures with claire. He went from hating english literature to reading George Orwell in his free time.
Such a lovely tutor with really cool hair.
Cant recommend Claire enough!View more recommendations
