About Daria
My name is Daria, and as a bilingual English & Russian speaker, I have taught foreign languages for the past 6 years. Currently a PhD student in English literature at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, I have experience at exam preparation as well as intensive business and everyday language courses. My teaching method stresses immersion and practical use of the learnt material, and puts emphasis on speaking and writing - especially, though not exclusively, academic texts.

The language used in class is exclusively English or Russian (unless you find it very challenging at the beginning and need time to grow more comfortable speaking the foreign language - we can also switch to French or Czech). Lesson plans are entirely customisable depending on the final goal, but generally I like to build classes around discussions on a particular topic, so that the student can absorb the structures and patterns of the language quite naturally. Learning materials are provided!
