About Billy
Hello, future tutees!
My name is Bill, and I am a PhD student in medical artificial intelligence at The University of Cambridge. Two principals lay the foundation of my tutoring philosophy: inspiring student confidence, and empowering students to face hard problems head on.
Students decide the topic of my lessons; this could be anything from a specific problem in a past paper, to more general assistance in exam preparation and essay writing. Regardless, as your tutor my primary responsibility will be to learn about you, your strengths, and your weaknesses, to help you overcome your difficulties in your studies. Whether your problem is an annoying recurrent question in your homework that you struggle with, or a more general lack of confidence in examinations, contact me and we can help you to achieve your full potential together.

Lessons can either be on a specific topic in quantitative subjects, or around a general skill, as selected by the student. General skills lessons can extend to all things academic: exam preparation, essay/long answer writing, time-keeping, etc.
If the student feels comfortable providing feedback they have received from teachers, I can hone my lesson plan around the teacher's comments and help the student to develop in their current areas of weakness.
I aim to understand each student's personality and cater to their individual needs; for this reason, I only tutor up to 2 students at one time. Lessons can be from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
