About Himani
I have my academic background in pharmaceutical sciences and doctoral degree in cancer biology. I have also taught 8th to 12th grade students for 4 years previously (2011-2015). I believe we all are here to learn irrespective of our age, our subject of interest or our existing qualifications. I don't believe I know everything, but I am confident that I can make complex topics in biology understandable.

I like to focus on understanding the basic foundations and concepts: Mechanism first, memorization second. I feel visual aids are more effective (graphical abstracts or arrow diagrams) for summarizing and remembering important concepts. I like to know how much the student understands by interacting with them by asking questions, so I can modify and improve my approach as needed. I also believe in testing the student's understanding using tests, because eventually that does matter.
