Welcome, Future Learners My name is Debyanee Singha Deb, and I warmly welcome you to the world of Sanskrit—where ancient wisdom meets modern learning. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Sanskrit and have completed both my BA and MA in Sanskrit from Vidyasagar University. I have qualified the UGC NET examination twice (2019 and 2020) and also hold a qualification in the SET examination, affirming my academic standing and teaching expertise. With years of experience mentoring students across different levels, I have guided school children, university learners, and UGC NET/SET aspirants with care, clarity, and commitment. My teaching is rooted in tradition, but designed for today’s learners—with interactive methods, accessible explanations, and a genuine passion to help each student succeed. My Teaching Approach – Making Sanskrit Meaningful "Teaching is not the mere transfer of knowledge. It is the nurturing of curiosity, confidence, and connection with the subject." Teaching Techniques & Methods I follow a student-centric and interactive approach, customizing the learning experience based on age, background, and goals. My training skills and teaching pedagogy learned during B.Ed helps in creating a student need based learning approach depending on the level, familiarity and age of the student. My classes blend traditional Sanskrit grammar (Vyakarana) with modern pedagogical tools—ensuring both depth and accessibility. I use: Visual aids (charts, shloka breakdowns) Pronunciation drills for correct recitation Storytelling and analogies to make abstract ideas relatable MCQs, quizzes, and mock tests for NET/SET aspirants Digital whiteboard & screen sharing for written explanation during online classes Usual Class Structure Each class typically includes: Brief recap of the previous session New content introduction with explanation and examples Engaged practice – reading, writing, or interactive discussion Doubt solving in a friendly, open format Assignments/recap tasks to reinforce retention Special modules include: Weekly vocabulary builder Sanskrit conversation sessions (for oral fluency) Mock paper discussion (for NET/SET coaching) What Sets Me Apart as a Teacher I combine academic rigor with emotional intelligence—creating a safe, non-judgmental space to learn.
