My teaching approach is built around one principle: understanding before memorizing. I encourage students to question ideas, make connections and develop their own perspective rather than simply learn definitions or reproduce textbook answers.
Teaching techniques & methods:
I use discussion-based learning, real-world examples, case studies, visual and cultural references, and guided questioning to make abstract concepts easier to grasp. For research-oriented subjects, I focus on helping students develop analytical thinking, formulate questions, understand methodology and build well-reasoned arguments.
Structure of a class:
Classes generally begin by identifying what the student already understands and what they find difficult. We then work through the core concept, connect it with relevant examples, discuss its application, and conclude by clarifying key takeaways or questions. The structure is adapted to the student's learning needs rather than following a rigid format.
What makes my teaching different:
I bring together academic research and professional communication experience. As a PhD Scholar in Media and Communication and a former Assistant Director (Communications), Government of Madhya Pradesh, I can connect classroom concepts with how communication actually functions in professional, institutional and cultural settings.
