About Malavika
I am a passionate English language trainer and a university rank holder in MA English Literature. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Cinema Studies, and teaching English has always been close to my heart. I’ve worked with college students, engineering graduates, and adult learners—helping them improve their communication skills and gain confidence in using English in real-life situations. Over the years, I’ve seen how learning English can truly open doors, whether it’s for higher studies, better job opportunities, or simply feeling more confident in a conversation. I want to share my knowledge because I believe language is power—it helps us express who we are, connect with others, and grow in both personal and professional spaces. My Teaching Approach: As an English language trainer, I focus on building strong communication skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—through interactive and practical methods. Teaching Techniques & Methods: I use a learner-centered approach, combining grammar exercises, vocabulary-building activities, real-life conversation practice, and multimedia tools. I also integrate pronunciation practice and soft skill elements like email writing, group discussion tips, and presentation techniques when needed. Usual Class Structure: Each session begins with a short warm-up (like a question or dialogue). Then we move to the main topic—grammar, vocabulary, or conversation—followed by guided practice and spoken activities. I end with a quick recap or assignment to reinforce the lesson. What Makes My Teaching Unique: I customize my lessons based on each student’s goals—be it job interviews, fluency, or everyday conversation. With experience teaching engineering students and adult learners, I make classes engaging, supportive, and goal-oriented. I also speak Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, which helps bridge language gaps when needed.
