About Franner
I have been teaching music for 25 years, from primary to foundation degree level. I have been a head of department at secondary schools as well as an FE college in the UK. I have a BA(Hons) in Music, a PGCE in secondary school music teaching, an MA(Ed) Masters in Education and a PhD in Composition . I am a Fellow of the London College of Music. I am a published composer, specialising in music for brass and wind. I am also an experienced music examiner.

My teaching method is student-centric, allowing students to discover and learn for themselves through guided support rather than didactic presentation. I aim to support students to develop their own interests and style of musicianship and creative self-expression. Lesson structures are flexible, depending on the student's own requirements and aims.
