About Elizabeth
I am a dedicated scientist and researcher with a PhD in Biomedical Science and a Master of Data Science. With extensive experience in scientific research, data analysis and problem-solving, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping students develop confidence in their learning.
I understand that every student has their own learning style and pace. I strive to create a friendly, patient and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their understanding without pressure.
My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should be engaging, accessible and rewarding. I aim not only to help students improve academically but also to nurture their curiosity, critical thinking and confidence to become independent learners.

My Approach to Tutoring
I believe that every student learns differently, and my approach to tutoring is to create a supportive, engaging and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.
**Teaching Techniques and Methodology**
My teaching style is interactive, patient and tailored to each student's learning needs, abilities and goals. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps, using practical examples, visual aids and real-world applications to make learning easier to understand and more enjoyable.
I encourage students to think critically, ask questions and develop their own problem-solving skills rather than simply memorizing information. My aim is to help students build confidence, develop a genuine interest in learning and become independent learners.
**Typical Lesson Length**
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, although I am happy to adjust the duration depending on the student's age, learning needs and goals.
**Qualifications and Experience**
I hold a PhD in biomedical science and a Master of Data Science, with extensive experience in scientific research, data analysis and problem-solving.
Throughout my professional career, I have mentored Year 10 work-experience students, trained colleagues in laboratory techniques and analytical methods, and communicated complex scientific concepts to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.
My academic and professional background has equipped me with strong skills in biology, biomedical science, mathematics, statistics, data analysis and programming.
