About Jacob
I have loved exploring and communicating mathematics since I was a child. This passion led me to a BS in Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin, after which I went straight into a PhD in mathematics at Boston College.
In my free time, I like to play and write music on my own and with my Boston based indie rock band Reading Room, and stay active by lifting weights, doing cardio, and going for hikes.

As a mathematics PhD, I have 10 years of experience, including 4 years as a college instructor between Boston College and Boston University, dating back to my time as an undergraduate at the University of Texas, teaching and tutoring students from many different backgrounds in all mathematical subjects from high school math up to upper division college courses. My mastery of the material and of pedagogy allows me to tailor my approach specifically to you to help you build confidence and unlock your mathematical potential!
