About Natasha

Hi! I'm Natasha, an experienced tutor with a PhD in English from Oxford University.

I am currently a tutor at Oxford University, where I have taught and lectured students from undergraduates through to PhD candidates. I have also taught at local schools, helping GCSE and A-level students improve their writing skills and gain places at top universities in the UK for a range of competitive courses. Alongside my university teaching, I tutor GCSE and A Level students in English Literature and English Language.

I'm autistic and have ADHD, and this makes me passionate about supporting neurodivergent students in education. I have experience tutoring students with a range of needs and creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

I achieved my BA in English Literature from Durham University in 2019 and my master's degree in English from Oxford University in 2020. I began my PhD Oxford in 2020, funded by a prestigious AHRC scholarship. I passed my PhD viva with no corrections in 2025. I continue to publish academic writing and attend international conferences.

Fully DBS Checked for your peace of mind.

*Please note that due to my current university teaching obligations I am unable to take on new students until December 2026/January 2027*

About the lesson

I tailor my classes around student needs, building on your strengths as we tackle challenging topics together. Using my experience of teaching Oxford-style tutorials to undergraduate students, I deliver academically rigorous lessons designed to challenge and inspire.

I work with students with a range of abilities and needs. Whether your goal is a much-needed pass mark or to excel beyond your syllabus, I will support you to learn and develop.

As a neurodivergent academic, I use my firsthand experience of studying with ADHD and autism to help neurodivergent students find study patterns that work for their specific needs. To excel with neurodivergence is to accept the way your brain works and to find ways of working with it rather than against it. This personal philosophy guides my teaching style, for students of any neurotype.

Classes are delivered online or in-person in Oxford.

Perfect! Natasha has been an incredible tutor throughout my dissertation journey, and I honestly don't think I would have made it this far without her. She has such a talent for helping explain things clearly and making even the most daunting parts of the process feel attainable. Beyond just academic support, she was so understanding when it came to my anxiety and mental health issues and was very supportive, and it made such a genuine difference to how I showed up and managed to complete the work. Over these past few months, she's helped me build real confidence in my writing, and I couldn't recommend her more highly: she's patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her students. Thank you so much, Natasha, for everything!

Perfect! My daughter was the one taking the lessons from Natasha, but I saw the difference almost immediately. After just a few sessions, my daughter seemed like herself again, calm, confident, and lighter. Even the way she spoke about English Literature had changed.
What mattered most wasn’t just the teaching, but how she felt afterwards: happy, motivated, and already thinking ahead.
She’s now genuinely looking forward to each lesson and that says everything.

I know Natasha from a co-teaching context – in my experience, she is a truly excellent teacher: clear, constructive, compassionate, and inspiring. Natasha is particularly effective at nurturing an inclusive atmosphere in her classes and tutorials and responds to students’ individual needs with sensitivity. I would never hesitate to entrust a student to Natasha and I have complete confidence in — and admiration of — her skills.
