About Julien
I hold a PhD from the Graduate Institute of Geneva and have been teaching for over fifteen years. I taught economics at Harvard as a guest lecturer, ran research tutorials at SciencesPo, Polytechnique and Dauphine in Paris, supervised Master's theses at the London School of Economics (MPA Capstone, 5 students) and the Stockholm School of Economics, and worked as a teaching assistant at the Graduate Institute of Geneva.
Since 2018 I have tutored more than 70 private students - over 2,000 hours of teaching - from high school to graduate level, in the US, the UK, France and Switzerland. My students study at Johns Hopkins, and abroad at Oxford, the LSE, Warwick, King's College London, Bocconi and SciencesPo, among others. I prepared 3 students for the SciencesPo entrance exam: all 3 were admitted.
Alongside tutoring, I work as an economist at the European Investment Bank, after a spell at the European Central Bank. I know the job market for economists from the inside - and I use that knowledge to advise my students. My PhD was on international economic relations: capital controls and trade protectionism.
