About Florez
My name is Luis Carlos, and I am a Civil Engineer and PhD candidate, specializing in structural engineering and seismic analysis. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed a deep appreciation for mathematics, physics and engineering principles, and I am passionate about helping students understand these subjects with clarity and confidence.
I have experience both in industry and in university teaching, which allows me to connect theory with real-world applications. I believe that learning should not feel overwhelming; with the right guidance and structure, any complex concept can become manageable and even enjoyable.
What motivates me most is seeing students gain confidence in their abilities, improve their analytical thinking, and realize their potential. I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and strive for excellence.

My name is Luis Carlos, and I am a Civil Engineer and PhD candidate. My teaching approach is structured, clear and concept driven. I focus on helping students truly understand the fundamentals rather than memorising formulas.
In a typical lesson, we begin by reviewing key concepts, followed by guided problem solving where I explain each step logically and systematically. I then encourage students to attempt similar problems independently while I provide feedback and clarification.
My strengths as a tutor include breaking down complex engineering and mathematical concepts into simple, intuitive explanations, strengthening analytical thinking, and building confidence in problem solving.
I offer tutoring in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering subjects for high school and university students, particularly those studying calculus, mechanics, structural analysis or related disciplines. My lessons are ideal for students who want not only to pass exams but to truly master the material.
