About Charlotte
PGCE qualified and trained via the Teach First fast track scheme. I was graded an ‘outstanding’ teacher by Ofsted, having taught over 200 pupils as a secondary science teacher, with 6 years experience 1-1 private tuition for national GCSE and A level exams and entrance exams to some of the UK’s top private/independent schools.

I have strong interpersonal skills, am relatable as a tutor and have a good track record in building confidence in students, including those with learning difficulties, with the ability to tailoring my lessons to suit varying needs. I believe it is important to instil a growth mind-set in pupils and having undertaken extensive training via the Teach First scheme I have a variety of methodologies on how to inspire and build resilience in pupils so they are equipped to discover learning for themselves.
I am patient but set high expectations, routinely setting homework to reinforce learning.
I value the importance of data and like to rigorously monitor my students through mini checkpoints which I set throughout the programme of tuition, which I can use to keep parents updated on their child’s progress.
