An exceptionally enthusiastic Medicinal Chemistry graduate with a passion for Mathematics and the Physical Sciences. I have 6 years of private tutoring experience in high school maths, biology and chemistry and university level chemistry with substantial grade improvements and many satisfied references.

When teaching subjects that require a substantial amount of logic and application of knowledge, it's important to understand that no two people learn exactly the same way. I take on board the methodology that students feel gives them the best chance of recalling and utilising the information being taught. I do like to make analogies and diagrams for simplicity but for the most part I like to challenge students to tease out answers themselves, which has proven to be a major factor in percentage increases in grades.
What I will never accept is the phrase "I'm just not a Maths/Science person, my brain just can't get it"... People who immerse themselves in a foreign language can pick it up quite easy, why can't it be the same for the sciences?
I hope to spread the passion and the enthusiasm that these subjects can stir up, because if you enjoy it, even only slightly more than in class, then you're in a better position to learn.
