About Justin
I have over 15 years of experience working with music and audio. In addition to teaching Music Production with Pro Tools at the college level in New York City, I've had numerous engagements for live sound mixing, music/podcast/speech recording and mixing, sound design for theater, and recording/mixing audio for video in the NYC area. In addition to teaching students how to use Pro Tools to record music and audio content, I especially enjoy teaching other teachers how to use, teach, and integrate Pro Tools in their courses. I also hold a Bachelor of Music degree in saxophone performance.

As a tutor, I focus on hands-on, practical learning, tailoring lessons to each student's goals and skill level. My approach to teaching audio recording with Pro Tools was developed during my six years teaching music production at the college level in New York City.
I'm excited to work with you to improve your skills using Pro Tools. Pro Tools is the leading Digital Audio Workstation software for producing and recording music and audio content, and the basic version of Pro Tools, Pro Tools Intro, can be used completely for free.
My unique background and approach can help you:
• complete assignments and strengthen your skills for a high school or college level course using Pro Tools
• teach Pro Tools as part of a high school or college level course in Music Production, Podcasting, or Sound Design (please note that Pro Tools Intro, the basic version of Pro Tools, is free for you and your students to use)
• use Pro Tools to record and produce your own music or audio content
If you're approaching Pro Tools as a complete beginner, you can take an individual version of my 15-week introductory Music Production course, or I can customize a course of study for you based on what you specifically want to learn (recording, editing, and/or mixing speech or music). Instructional videos and other content I've created to complement my course will be available for you to use between lessons.
In addition to my college teaching experience, I've worked as an audio engineer in multiple contexts for the last 15 years.
