About Evie
I'm Evie, a student who will be studying English Literature at university! I have always had a passion for this subject, with my love for reading being encouraged by my parents and teachers for as long as I can remember! I've only recently left secondary school/college education, meaning I'm aware of what is required! I want to inspire you to do the best you can, and help in anyway necessary to help you achieve the best in English Literature that you can!

Every student is different, so there's no set technique that can be applied to all! I love to analyse the text at hand with students, not just leaving them to struggle to find the 'deeper meaning' alone. It takes time to gain confidence in analysis, combined with the knowledge of literary terms and context. I additionally love to provide simplistic notes if requested, based on the novels being studied or techniques that the student may be interested in applying to their work.
The typical length of a lesson is honestly dependent on what the student thinks they need, though the minimum would be 1 hour. I achieved an A* at GCSE level, and recently achieved an A* at GCE level. I am eager to work with those aged 11 - 18 who will be entering the stages that I once was. As someone who has only recently achieved the grades above, I am aware of how daunting it can be to take the leap from basic English lessons to GCSE English Literature, as well as the leap from GCSE to GCE. You are not alone and I will try my very best to make you feel comfortable and confident!
