About Matt
I'm a guitarist, songwriter, producer, DJ, rapper who wants to teach those interested in learning music. I was in lessons and self-taught and learned that through practice you can learn anything. I learned by figuring out how to play songs I was interested in, as opposed to having someone pick songs for me based on my skill level. By picking challenging songs that I wanted to learn, I accelerated much quicker.

My teaching method is active listening to see when a student is struggling or succeeding. I also believe in asking questions so I know what the student wants to learn so they can be motivated each day. People enjoy learning when it's something they are passionate about. Making lessons feel as little like school as possible is important to me.
