About Daniel Chan
Hi! I'm Daniel, a Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Texas at Austin (3.74 GPA) with a perfect 36 on the ACT and a 1530 on the SAT. I have years of tutoring experience working with students of all levels — from 5th graders building their math foundations all the way up to college students preparing for MCAT physics. That range has taught me how to meet each student exactly where they are, breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps no matter the grade level or subject. As an engineering student, I use physics and advanced math every single day, so I don't just know the material — I understand how it connects and how to make it genuinely click for you. Whether you're aiming to conquer a tough AP Physics unit, strengthen your College Physics 1 grade, or push your SAT/ACT Math score higher, I'm patient, adaptable, and fully invested in helping you reach your goals.

All lessons are held virtually in convenient, hour-long sessions — so you can get expert help from the comfort of home with no commute or scheduling hassle. Each session is fully personalized to your goals, whether that's mastering AP Physics concepts, building a strong foundation in College Physics 1, or sharpening the exact math skills that boost your SAT and ACT scores. I break down tough problems step by step, focus on the strategies that actually move the needle on test day, and adapt the pace to how you learn best. As a UT Austin Mechanical Engineering major with a perfect 36 on the ACT and a 1530 on the SAT, I know both the material and how to teach it in a way that clicks. Sessions can be booked as one-time help before a test or as an ongoing weekly plan to build lasting confidence.
